PPE Product Development & NFPA Certification Consultant

Most PPE products don’t fail at certification—they fail long before they ever reach testing.

I’ve spent over a decade working in product development, including 6 years inside a leading U.S. firefighting gear manufacturer handling all PPE development and NFPA certification. During that time, I worked across turnout gear, wildland gear, gloves, hoods, and boots—supporting the full lifecycle from design and materials through testing, certification, and production.

What I saw repeatedly was this: delays, failures, and costly redesigns weren’t caused by unclear standards—they were caused by misalignment between design, manufacturing, and compliance too late in the process.

That’s the gap I now help manufacturers close.

Today, I partner with PPE brands, helping them align product design with NFPA requirements from the start. My approach is practical and execution-focused—grounded in real-world manufacturing experience, not just theory. The goal is simple: reduce risk, eliminate unnecessary rework, and create a clear, efficient path to certification and launch.

I don’t just interpret standards—I help you apply them in a way that works in production, passes testing, and holds up in the field.
